That code looks familiar :-)

The only thing I'd say differently today is that you can keep the majority of your agent in LotusScript but you can use LS2J to call out from your LotusScript to a Java object that contains a getXML() method that uses standard Java classes to make the HTTP calls. That will minimize the change for you. The only alternative I can think of would be to use C, and that would be significantly more difficult -- not to mention the fact that it would likely give you another portability problem if you change server platforms again in the future.
